Studio Art Minor

SoVA's Studio Art Minor enables students to understand and integrate a range of art and design methods and content to broader academic interests, including foundation for a liberal arts education, preparation for a double major, preliminary stages towards a professional career in visual arts and design, or a broad grounding for graduate studies. The minor provides a flexible coursework structure that ensures students' objectives and artistic interests are met. Each student must elect an area of concentration from one or more of the following: Ceramics, Drawing and Painting, New Media, Photography, Printmaking, or Sculpture.

The Studio Art Minor enables students to advance and integrate visual arts and design knowledge and skills in a range of areas and is especially appropriate for students with substantial interest in art and design, but who intend to pursue careers in other fields.
